This is not one of the thousands of running blogs out there, full of whining and personal opinions. In fact, Hodgie-San’s site pre-dates the blogger boom and provide a rare peek into the daily training of a true New England running legend, as well as an online history of the running boom’s impact on Boston and beyond with a surprisingly engaging writing style. For example, when Hodge recalls the 1975 Lowell Half-Marathon, where he ran toe-to-toe with the blooming Bill Rogers, he says: “Racing one of the world’s best in my backyard and running a creditable race was a great experience.
